When a bank holiday falls am I still entitled to my normal day off?

I normally employment Mon-Sat with a Wednesday off. When it is Easter Monday this will be my day off but am I still entitled to my normal day off as well? Which I thought was the benefit of having Bank Holidays.
no not habitually - it's the luck of the draw. where do you live that you get Easter Monday off?

that depends if your luck out a fitting of work is running as normal and you want to take that day off it may be that your employer is classing that as your day off but if your work place is closed for bank holidays you should still get your universal day off

can a company still claim there money if i cancel a direct debit with my bank?

I had a unfixed broadband contract with 3,and i have cancelled the direct debit with my bank.i have tried to contact 3 but the foreign call centre, does not appreciate what i am trying to tell them.can they still claim the money out of my bank if i have only cancelled the direct debit with the bank and not 3,thanks.
Thanks for the view everyone,i did manage to get through to them in the end and cancel it with 3.i had no choice as the company i work for has gone bust, and we have all been told we will not be geting paid this week.
No, they can't get the ready money if there is no longer a direct debit set up.
But just cancelling a direct debit does not prevent them from vexing to "claim" the money. They are still owed it because you haven't cancelled your contract with them. So because they can't get it from your bank, they will now go to a debt anthology agency to get them to recover the money.
You need to resolve this situation ASAP before you end up in court.
