Any ideas for a business product/service with procedes going to charity?
Oct 08, 2008 by footie089 | Posted in Other - Advertising & Marketing
Hi my imbue with sets up a business that 15 sixteen year olds run. Does anyone have any idea for a product/service that could do really well? Even if it's unprejudiced something you would like to buy?
It cannot involve food though :(
Thanks
Dom
1)How about devious myspace pages for your peers? Make out a questionnaire and have them fill it out to find out the type of page they'd like, then make it for them. Give them the watchword of course, then they can go and change it.
2)Consign your friends items for them on ebay. Specialize in something you know a lot about (ie. teen work, skateboards, etc) Charge a percent of sale price. Draw up a contract and make them sign it with all the specifics...like who makes the penalty,,,,who pays the insertion and selling fees, how you will pay them and how long it will take...what happens if item doesn't double-cross, etc. You could also go to yard sales to find items to sell...could be an excellent group effort.
3) Offer classes to adults on how to give the impression of run off sure your child is safe online. Teach parents of middle schoolers how to find out what their children are looking at, which sites they stress to be weary of, etc. Who better to teach them than you?
4) Offer parent's night out babysitting. Find a church, rec center, etc that would let you use or lease their space and host a parent's night out once a month, or week, or whatever. Show the kids a movie, do a craft, something to keep them occupied while their parents go out for a swain night.

Business help (school- a/s levels) I need to make a business (service)?
Sep 22, 2007 by gona-b-a-gr8 | Posted in Small Business
Well I extremity to think of a business (service for my local area) any ideas? It can be any type of service but I only have a £10,000 budget and for this I need to buy everything insurance etc. (it's only coursewrok but I emergency a good idea)
Thanks in advance.
Stark dude, but you need to figure this one out for yourself, thats why they set course work for you, to test you. If you cant come up with an idea, and asses what the square footage you live in needs, then your in the wrong class.
After all what will you learn if you have someone doing it for you, nothing as you would of had it handed to you on a plate and wouldn't of been masterly to properly research all areas of business for yourself, so when you finish the course and you may have to do this for real you wont have a clue where to start, as other people would have done it for you.
Guilt-ridden I'm not being cruel or anything I'm just trying to make you see, that some things you need to do alone, no matter how hard work it is.
Established luck
