I don't have the steal details to be able to fully comment on your case. Are you in the U.K? If so look at the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. This should sacrifice you protection as section 1 (1)(b) makes it clear that contracts formed for the sole benefit of a third reception should be enforceable by that party(subject to exceptions).
Please remember that it is your house at the end of the day and you are perfectly within your rights to deny them access to the chattels, if they continue to access your property after you have revoked your invitation they are trespassing and are liable in tort as such. Please speak to your insurer first and haul someone over the coals them what you are going to do and why as they may settle with the builder for the work already done!

If you have not signed anything you can seek cash instead and have the repairs done yourself (or not at all). In addition, you can have an independent assessment done and compared against the adjusters. If it's very far by oneself from the other estimate you can raise a complaint at the insurance company.

What is the easiest/cheapest insurance company in Ireland to get insured on with an endorsement and 5 points?
May 12, 2009 by Shane B | Posted in Insurance & Registration
A bedfellow of mine was caught drink driving and has gotten his licence back but with an endorsement and 5 points on his licence, any insurance company he has tried has turned him away.
What are his options car well-advised? And what are the best companies to go to? And also - he is 23 what price range would he be looking at?
Thanks in advance for the answers!
I have points myself, and on the back of my insurance renewal regimen it said something like ' in the event of an accident, non disclosure of penalty points, I would have to pay an extra excess of €400', I didn't hubbub telling the insurance company I had points.
