Starting a New Business... Need Help!

Hi All,

I privation some advice about how to start my new insurance business in NJ. I have a travel agency and I would like to add another option for my clients and I thought the insurance industry would be the best fit for my business.

I took P&C Insurance classes 2 month ago and last week I passed my P&C Asseverate Exam. Now, I would like to know what I need to do to start running my business.

I did some research online and so far I'm confused with the following:

1) Should I seam a private company or an insurance wholesaler?

2) An Agency management system - which one should I use?


Any advice would be appreciated...

The Ltd Companions is based in the UK, has traded for about 6 months, has 2 Directors who work there full time and 2 interns who operate from the office premises.
What is the loose cost for business insurance for such a Company?

You will needfulness to contact an Insurance Broker. Each business had different needs. My business was catering, so our Insurance would be different than an office based one.

Do I need to use an insurance broker to buy business insurance?

I run a ashamed independent shop, and require business insurance. Does anyone offer this direct like household and motor, or do I have to use a master broker?

Business insurance is much more tangled than home or Auto insurance. Although there may be websites that offer coverages, what coverages do you need and what coverages are just wasted well off? Not many people know the answers to these questions when shopping for business insurance.

I would recommend using an independent insurance agent as they can exchange to multiple insurance companies and make sure to find you the best deal out there. And as stated above, insurance agents are NOT middle men, we are an Self-sufficient individual that is here to help you find the right coverages for your business. Would you rather have an employee of the insurance company telling you about the "specials" and "discounts" their products have, or would you rather have an unaffiliated agent tell you which company is the best fit for you?

Companies that write direct did not ELIMINATE the "midst man", they just hired him and now has to pay him commission and pay for his benefits.
