Why renters should get renters insurance Helium

If you have valuable collections or other items of value your desideratum for your own personal property insurance is even greater. Most policies will allow you to tailor the coverage to meet your exact needs. Some policies also advance forms of credit card protection at no additional expense.
As a renter you may feel that even if your personal property is not covered by your innkeeper you could sue in the event of damage. While this may be an option it is not a good one. Court actions can take a very long time to resolve and do you really requisite the added aggravation?
Relocation coverage:
A renter's policy may also provide you with coverage for living expenses if the apartment or national you are living in becomes unlivable due to damage. This may be in addition to coverage the building owner has but it will provide you with extra peace of mindful of. The expenses of a sudden move can add up quickly.
Your liabilities:
Renter's policies can also protect you if someone is injured in your residence. While the building P's policy provides them with protection it is not a bad idea to have some liability protection of your own. Your policy can also protect you in the event that you cause expense to the property by fire or flooding. While your landlord should have fire coverage, their insurance company could turn to you to collect for damages.

I need Renters Insurance for an apartment in Spain, does anyone know any good companies?

I scarcity to rent a apt in Spain I live here permanently, when you rent here normally you leave a few months deposit, but the apt I prerequisite to move into has requested that everyone has renters insurance. They say it will cost between 30 or 40 euros per month. Is this an average price? Does anyone remember of any companies selling Renters Ins on the Costa Blanca? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I was in your disposal some time ago, and an actual renters insurance does not exist. However, I did get a normal contents cover (they will ask you if you are the owner or renter). I got mine through a German SW compadre who saw an ad in a German newspaper, I paid 60€ for the year but can't remember the brokers details. However I was insured with Lloyd's. 30-40€ a month sounds nauseating to me but it can be up to around 200€ a year. What the owners need to have for ANY insurance is either or both rejas (grills on the windows) or an alarm as you will NOT get insured with anyone without it here. (I promote property) because whilst YOU want contents cover THEY are responsible for buildings insurance for their property.
Try www.intasure.com as they do all kinds of insurance including fete/rental property.
Or if not buy the Costa Blanca news and ring a few brokers and ask what they charge....be a ungenerous shrewd as prices can vary greatly.
Good luck

Buying renters/contents insurance -how to I find out what the roof's made of, what sort of locks are there etc?
Sep 09, 2008 by The Frog and Sausage | Posted in Insurance
I'm fair moving into a small flat with my girlfriend and I'm looking at contents/renters insurance. My problem is, I don't know if the main doors have a 247 leaver humdinger-man deadlock or what the roof is made of, and I doubt my landlord will. He owns the flats, but not the entire building so the external locks aren't his consideration.... What can we do?
There are only a few pure kinds of roofing these are slate roofs (which are grey ) tiled roofs (which are normally terracotta) Unmistakable roofs (tarmac , pitch )or concrete like if the roof is also a car park.Thatched roof (straw).Try to look at the roof from a detach and see what its made of - or if possible look through a skylight.
You could always ask a neighbour or the owner should know.
The same for the locks if you can take a photo we may be able to name the locks for you.The keys will give you some information on what kind of locks you have and how you lock / unlock the doors will tell you if they are tailored with deadlocks.eg do you need to turn the keys two full revolutions to open the door ?
