does a visa,MasterCard gift card have to be registered even tho it is activated at the grocery store ?

I should have justified asked about MasterCard Gift Card,as I use my visa gift card online all the time, so when I purchased the MasterCard tonight I was not superior to use it and I am very dissapointed, can it be that the online banking connection does not accept this particular card?

Don't certain for sure because I got one and did register it.
The registration is really quick and it takes about 4 minutes.
Why not try that and see if it works then. If not, contact the purchaser service number that is on the back of the card and see what they say. They can look it up in the system and give you better instructions based on the specifics of the card that you purchased.

A credit card I want to apply for offers both visa and mastercard?

As far as I am in the know there is no real difference. The interest rates are usually set by the card provider, not by Visa or Mastercard, so your provider will probably set the same interest rate for both. I have never seen a organization that takes 1 but no the other.

And the people who say you don't need a credit card are wrong. For purchases over £100 the credit probable company is jointly responsible with the seller under sale of goods legislation. This means that if you order something that does not get there come or which is faulty then the credit card company must refund you if the seller does not.

This is fantastic protection because you are protected if a comrades you deal with goes bust.

You are not guaranteed to get the same protection with Debit cards, even ones with a Visa logo.

My only warning would be that credit cards are a very expensive way to borrow, so pay it off in full each month.
